2015 Cricket World Cup coming to Melbourne

The announcement that Melbourne will host several matches of the 2015 International Cricket Council World Cup will delight cricket fans and tourism and events operators alike. Between $65 million and $89 million is expected to be contributed to the state economy as a result of these matches, with the first to be held at the MCG on 14 February 2015. The final will also be hosted at the MCG, on 29 March 2015.
