AIRPORT PLANS TO DELIVER WORLD-CLASS VISITOR ACCESS TO MELBOURNE

28 /03/ 2012 Comments are Closed

Melbourne is on its way to hosting Australia’s premier airport terminal. Melbourne Airport’s preliminary draft plan for its Southern Precinct project outlines steps to continue to position Melbourne as the leader in domestic air travel, and provide increased access to international visitors.

With Melbourne Airport the gateway to Melbourne and broader Victoria, we welcome the increased choice and opportunities that this project would deliver to visitors.

Melbourne Airport already has some competitive advantages over airports in other states, such as its curfew-free status and the proximity of its terminals.

This project would also facilitate the further growth of airlines that are based in Melbourne.

We are delighted that the draft plan is now available for public consideration, and further encourage the Commonwealth Minister for Infrastructure and Transport to approve the proposal so this beneficial project may commence.
