News from around the regions includes board vacancies at Phillip Island Regional Tourism and a new conference for Ballarat that will bring 400 guests to the area.

Phillip Island
Phillip Island Regional Tourism is seeking an Independent Chairperson and board members, but potential candidates should hurry as applications close tomorrow (Friday 30 November) at 4pm. To obtain a position description, email tom.smith@tourism.vic.gov.au.

Business Events Victoria (BEV) has worked with Ballarat Regional Tourism to secure the Australian Men’s Shed Association National Conference 2013. To be held from 27-29 October next year, the conference will attract 400 visitors, who are expected to book more than 900 room nights combined. The conference will be held at Ballarat Lodge & Convention Centre. For more information on BEV, click here.
