Become China Ready

Adapting to the needs of Chinese visitors is the theme on everyone’s mind and the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) has joined forces with learning and development specialist AVANA, mainland China-based China Ready & Accredited (CRA) and TAFE NSW Western Sydney Institute to offer a new training program, Welcoming Chinese Visitors. Thanks to our partnership with ATEC, VTIC members are eligible for ATEC member rates.

Welcoming Chinese Visitors is a unique program that provides your business with knowledge and insights developed in conjunction with leading China-based tourism experts. Participation in this program will equip you to properly engage in the Chinese market through three structured, well-supported course modules: Product Ready, Sales Ready and Service Ready. The program and content is endorsed through CRA by the Chinese Government.

The three modules are for three unique audiences and offer different outcomes:

  • Product Ready takes you through the process of ensuring that your product is, first and foremost, export ready.
    This session is ideal for owner-operators looking to explore the merits of engaging with the Chinese market and who also need a base understanding of how to ensure their product is export ready.
  • Once your product is ready, getting Sales Ready is the next important step in working through the process to engage with the complex but lucrative Chinese market.
    This session is ideal for sales and marketing staff who are looking to get their products and destinations in front of Chinese consumers.
  • Service Ready ensures you have the understanding and awareness to deliver the service and standards that Chinese consumers expect when they visit Australia.
    This session is relevant particularly for front-line staff welcoming and servicing Chinese visitors. Sales and marketing personnel will also find this relevant.
