VTIC is pleased to announce that Natalie Duke, Assistant Marketing Manager at Melbourne Food & Wine Events Ltd, is the recipient of the 2013 Lynette Bergin Tourism Award. The award will enable Natalie to explore the ticketing structures and tourism packages in place for Wellington on a Plate, which is considered to be New Zealand’s ‘largest and tastiest food festival’.

Natalie also plans to meet with outbound tour operators and wholesale travel agents in New Zealand to explore ways of working with other major events and tourist attractions in Australia.

The Lynette Bergin Tourism Award promotes skills and excellence amongst young people and new entrants in the tourism and events industry, and contributes to the continued development and growth of tourism.
