Every year, three of VTIC’s six policy committees come up for renewal. On behalf of the Secretary, Wayne Kayler-Thomson, VTIC is putting out a call for nominations for the following policy committees:
Per the changes to the Constitution that came into effect following the 2014 Annual General Meeting, the committees will be formed through a simple nomination process. Following this process, Policy Committee members then have an opportunity to nominate for election to the VTIC Board.
The policy committees meet a minimum of three times per year to discuss issues and topics relevant to each sector; the committees act in an advisory capacity, feeding issues from operator and grassroots level to the VTIC team and, where appropriate, through to the VTIC Board.
Term of office is two (2) years, from formal appointment at the 2015 Annual General Meeting, to be held in November, 2015.

If you are a voting VTIC member (i.e. Essentials, Complete, Premium or Connect level membership) whose business is aligned with one of these three sectors – accommodation, events or tourism services & hospitality – and you would like to be participate in the policy committee for your sector, please download the relevant nomination form, and complete and return it:
by no later than 5pm, Wednesday 17 June 2015
Please note: Premium and Connect members have an automatic seat on the relevant policy committee as part of their membership. However we ask that these members still complete a nomination form to confirm the representative from their business for the next two-year term.
