Research: Regional events drive visitation

Hundreds of events or festivals are held across Australia each year. These are ideal for generating awareness of regional destinations, driving visitation and increasing visitor spend. Research co-funded by Tourism Research Australia, the South Australian Tourism Commission and Tourism Victoria provides a better understanding of regional events across Australia as a tourism product, as well as their place in driving regional tourism.
