I am pleased to advise that VTIC Chief Executive, Dianne Smith, will be undertaking a six month secondment in the newly created role of Regional Director at Visit Victoria, at the invitation of the Hon. John Eren MP, Minister for Tourism and Major Events.

This appointment is testament to the respect Ms Smith and VTIC have throughout the government and industry across the state, for their outstanding contribution to growing Victoria’s visitor economy.

It is also a welcome acknowledgement of the value of industry input in establishing Visit Victoria and driving greater visitor results in regional Victoria.

Ms Smith looks forward to working closely with the RTB network, relevant Visit Victoria team members, and setting up a powerful model for the exciting period ahead.

I am also pleased to announce that Ms Smith’s position at VITC will be filled for this period by an experienced tourism industry professional, Erin Joyce. Ms Joyce has more than 20 years industry experience, having held senior tourism marketing, development and management positions in private enterprise as well as government.

We are delighted that Ms Joyce is able to take over the role during this time. The VTIC team and I look forward to working with her.

These changes are effective from Monday 21 September 2015.

For further information, please refer to the Visit Victoria corporate website.
