VTIC is pleased to announce that applications are now open for two exciting opportunities for industry development. The VTIC Small Business Award and the Lynette Bergin Fellowship are available through the Victorian Tourism Industry Leadership Fund.

VTIC Small Business Award

This is a $10,000 (including GST) grant for professional development aimed at tourism and events businesses with fewer than 20 employees. The grant could be spent on initiatives such as training, mentoring and partnership opportunities, but VTIC also welcomes applications with other creative suggestions. Applications are open until 26 July.

For more information and to receive an Application Form, contact us.

Lynette Bergin Fellowship

VTIC continues to offer the Lynette Bergin Tourism Fellowship. Funded through member resources, the fellowship offers up to $8000 to the applicant and a further $1000 to the applicant’s employer (including GST).  In naming the fellowship in honour of Lynette Bergin, VTIC seeks to perpetuate the contribution Lynette made to the industry and celebrate the guiding hand she offered to many of its new recruits. The fellowship seeks to promote skills and excellence among young people and new entrants in the tourism industry, and contribute to the continued development and growth of tourism. Applications are open until 26 July.
