In her new role as VTIC Policy Manager, Letitia Hatton is most looking forward to having regular contact with the tourism industry – hearing what’s happening on the ground and discussing how VTIC can help make a positive difference to operators’ lives.

Letitia has just returned to Melbourne from Canberra, where she spent the past three-and-a-half years working for the Australian Government Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism.

“This gave me a good understanding of government processes and issues relevant to my current role,” she says,

“Before that, I completed my Masters of Tourism, and spent an amazing few years travelling the word.”

Letitia will cover Kristina Burke’s position while she is away from VTIC on maternity leave, Kristina’s last day being 10 August.

“VTIC is well respected by both governments and industry, and I look forward to helping maintain the Council’s track record and achieving some positive outcomes for members,” Letitia says.
