As the Office and Membership Services Coordinator for VTIC, Monica Lougoon coordinates the day-to-day running of the organisation and is the frontline contact for general information on membership, activities and projects.
After completing Certificate 5 in Business Administration at the Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE, Monica began work as a trainee administration assistant with Tourism Training Victoria. In May 2001, she joined the Country Victoria Tourism Council and during the evolution to VTIC Monica also worked for a number of tourism organisations including Tourism Alliance Victoria and the Victorian Tourism Operators Association.
In addition to her role with VTIC, Monica also provides sales and administration support in the delivery of the Regional Victoria Business Events program for Business Events Victoria.
Monica says the best part of her role is the opportunity to work on a number of projects and activities and being exposed to the broader tourism and events industry.
“I also enjoy working within a small but dedicated and enthusiastic team,” she says.
As our longest serving staff member, Monica has seen the evolution of a number of tourism organisations into the united VTIC. She looks forward to being a part of VTIC’s future success.
