We are one, but we are many

VTIC has been invited to represent Victorian operators by participating in a diverse range of industry panels, inquiries and reviews, covering everything from workplace relations to short-stay accommodation. This is the work we love to do on your behalf and we are well aware that without your active input and engagement, our message carries less weight.

With the State Government’s recent announcement of the Victorian Visitor Economy Review, we, as an industry, have been given a great opportunity to make an impact! VTIC is confident this review will highlight innovative opportunities for businesses throughout our state that are keen to collaborate further on tourism and events with government.

With this in mind, we are calling on our members to evaluate the terms of reference for the Visitor Economy Review and make your own submissions. We will then collate these and submit them in a united group on behalf of industry also.

Thank you to members for assisting us in our policy and advocacy work by providing case studies, answering surveys, attending meetings and giving so generously of your time – I know it has been busy at your respective home bases.

It has also been an exciting time as we embrace working with our new Minister, the Hon John Eren MP, and all relevant portfolios in the new State Government. As we conveyed at VTIC’s Program Launch in February, as an industry we are looking forward to supporting Minister Eren and his colleagues as they make important decisions affecting the future of tourism and events. We are confident there is a great opportunity for working together in this exciting new chapter.

Wishing you all a fantastic autumn season.
