Upgraded infrastructure and facilities needed to boost visitation to Victoria

Victoria Tourism Industry Council is advocating through the VTIC 2017-18 State Budget submission for the Victorian Government to use the 2017-18 Budget to strengthen tourism industry performance.

This includes increased funding for Visit Victoria, and investment in tourism attractions, particularly in the nature-based tourism sector. It is imperative that the Government invests in critical regional infrastructure to ensure that visitors disperse to regional Victoria.

Victoria Tourism Industry Council Chief Executive Brad Ostermeyer highlighted recently the need to upgrade infrastructure and facilities to boost visitation to the state on 3AW Melbourne and in the Herald Sun.
