Regional Victoria was represented by its largest contingent of exhibitors yet at the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre this week. The two-day event showcased the best Australian, Asia-Pacific and international destinations, products and services, and provided excellent professional education and networking opportunities.

During the two-day expo, Business Events Victoria had more than 30 appointments with buyers interested in hosting events in regional Victoria. “The interest in regional Victoria was outstanding, with many buyers having business ready to go,” said Wayne Lee, Business Development Manager, Business Events Victoria. “The hard work starts now though, converting these hot leads into confirmed bookings for regional Victoria.”

Our co-exhibitors also enjoyed a successful expo. “AIME provided a great platform to network with industry colleagues in the business events space and meet buyers who are keen on booking events,” said Sarah Skidmore, Business Development Manager, Silverwater Resort. “The 2013 show was the best in the past few years and the new Melbourne/Victoria stand really helped drive business.”

BEV’S co-exhibitors this year included Geelong and the Great Ocean Road, the Mornington Peninsula, the Murray, Shepparton, Mt Buller Resort, Gippsland, the Grange Group, Phillip Island, Ballarat, Pinnacle Valley and Balgownie Estate.
