Celebrating our Volunteers – A Night with the Stars

19 /12/ 2019 Comments are Closed

After a very busy 2019, the Tourism Greater Geelong & The Bellarine team took time to celebrate the achievements of the most important people of all – our volunteers.

Beyond the visitor numbers, visitor yield and events, it is great to take some time to celebrate with the wonderful people. Working daily, our Vollies ensure visitors to our region are welcomed and learn all about what to do while they’re here.

It really was a ‘night with the stars’ as we rolled out the red carpet for the true stars of the region. We also celebrated some large milestones with Jean Leary and Kay Preston recognised for 20 year of service! There was a bunch of other wonderful achievements including 5, 10 and 15 year service awards.

We are very proud of our volunteers and the work they do, and it seems they’re pretty proud too as the average years of services for our team is 10.3 years!

Great Job Vollies!
