Well, we’re just three weeks out from our annual Victorian Tourism Conference and I urge you to register now and not miss out on what will be a critical point of connection for shaping the future of our industry.

Our speaker line-up this year is stellar and we have secured several internationally renowned experts to share their insights on embracing innovation, thriving amidst disruption and putting the customer at the centre of all we do.  Have a listen to the recent podcast we’ve done with one such incredible speaker, Dr Jordan Nguyen.  If he can inspire in just a few minutes of interviewing, imagine what he’ll impart on stage.

The Conference this year will also be a vital point for industry to connect with the current Regional Tourism Review process. This study that’s been commissioned by Government is the most critical analysis of the supply side issues impeding the growth of the industry that’s been undertaken for decades. We don’t need another study into whether we think the marketing campaigns or logos are good enough. Victoria needs to take a serious look at why we are lagging behind other states in attracting private investment and developing the experiences that will cater to global travellers.

VTIC has commended Minister Pakula and the Andrew’s Government for stepping into this process and it’s crucial that the industry engages and plays a part in shaping our direction over the next decade.

At the Conference this year, you can be the first to hear the official update on the process so far and next steps from Mary-Anne Thomas MP, the Cabinet Secretary and Member for Macedon who is leading this Review. You simply cannot afford to miss this opportunity, register now.
