Victoria Tourism Industry Council chief executive Felicia Mariani said Victorians were eager to get back to some sense of normality, and tourism operators had recorded a jump in bookings.
“We know that for this long weekend, many of our operators are booked out right across the state,” Ms Mariani said.
“Forward bookings are equally strong and that will be from Victorians looking to holiday in their own backyard.”
