The Marketing and Communications Division is accountable for leading a unified communication to maintain Parks Victoria brand and public reputation. The role is part of the Communications and Public Affairs Directorate, which is responsible for supporting the Melbourne Division with effective media relations, reputation management, public, community, government, stakeholder, and partnership communications.
About the role and your responsibilities
The primary focus of your role as a Communications Advisor will be to deliver strong external communications for the day to day operations of the Melbourne Region for Parks Victoria. You will assist in promoting the actions, services and achievements of Parks Victoria to staff, park users and the broader community through the media, online, intranet and other communication channels.
As the Communications Advisor you will also manage a strategic view of the organisation’s communications focus to identify, drive and implement communications through various channels. This role will see you Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, particularly the media and Parks Victoria Government relations and Community Engagement teams to ensure coordinated and consistent key messages are delivered across all channels. You will also use your outstanding writing and editing skills to produce and publish high quality, accurate and timely information for corporate reports, publications, media, project working groups and workshops across the organisation.
