The National Trust of Australia (Victoria) (NTAV) is an independent, non-profit organisation supported by a large community base. We are Victoria’s premier heritage and conservation organisation and the major operator of historic properties and sites open to the public across Victoria.

About the role:

The National Trust is seeking a Customer Service Officer to support our small and dynamic Geelong team, while helping us to grow our impact and reach across communities in Victoria. You will provide administrative and customer service support as well as coordinating exciting programs and events. You will be highly motivated, energetic and well-experienced customer service professional.

Reporting to the Geelong Region Properties Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Administrative duties
  • Retail sales
  • Act as a visitor information resource
  • Oversee visitor experience management
  • Be responsible for security, opening and closing the property
  • Venue hire and group booking management
  • Event facilitation including set up and pack up
  • High level of customer service across events, open days, functions and filming

  • You have the ability to deliver great customer experiences in varied environments.
  • You’re willing to learn and embrace our unique style of service.
  • You have strong people skills — you’re approachable, a good listener and empathetic.
  • You’ll need to be flexible with your schedule. Your work hours will be based on business needs, we aim to release rosters two weeks in advance.
  • You have the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • You’re willing to follow processes and solve problems.
  • You’re willing to work under pressure and comfortable working alone.
  • You have excellent time management skills and can make decisions quickly.
  • You maintain composure and customer focus while troubleshooting and solving issues.
  • You have an Australian’s Drivers Licence and available car/have the ability to travel between the Geelong properties.
