Melbourne Cricket Club

  • Fixed Term Contract to 30 June 2019
  • Part-time 15 hours ( flexible with days)

Melbourne Cricket Club, Kew (MCCK) is a sporting and recreational Club in the heart of the inner eastern suburbs; the geographic centre of Melbourne. We are an affiliate of the MCC offering premium playing facilities for Bowls, Tennis and Bridge, as well as Hospitality and Functions

A great part time opportunity currently exists for an Office All Rounder to join the dedicated MCCK team in a fixed term contract till the end of June 2019. This role is located at Barkers Road Kew and reports to the Executive Manager, Commercial Analysis & Development at the MCC. The job goal is to provide exceptional service and experience to the members & guests of the club as well as provide accurate efficient office support and promotion and marketing of the clubs’ facilities.

The club has a vibrant environment where it is very much a part of the community.

This is a diverse flexible role where you will be processing an invoice one minute, welcoming a member and answering their query, then making a cappuccino at the coffee machine and then back taking a phone inquiry for an event is just an example of what a typical day looks like in this role. There are times when it is quiet and then are times where it is all hands on desk…a true team spirit.

The key responsibilities of this role are (however not limited to):

  • Administration duties including processing invoices, database management and reports
  • Hospitality duties e.g., making coffees, serving alcohol
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Reception duties
  • Answering inquiries from internal and external customers ( e.g. members, guest, prospective members, customers re events and functions, contractors and volunteers)

The part-time hours (15 hours) are flexible however need to be within 9.00 to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and there may be a requirement to do extra hours as required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Have previous experience in a similar role in a similar industry.
  • Strong administration and organisation skills and able to work to deadlines.
  • A natural and genuine flair for providing customer service at an exceptional standard
  • Proficient computer skills (MS office suite and applications/ system)
  • Must hold a current Victorian R.S.A
  • An eye for detail
  • Excellent communication ( both verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • A flexible attitude and self-motivated
  • A team player
  • Working with Children Check
  • Hospitality experience is desirable
