About the branch

The Regional Services Division is responsible for the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services. On-ground works and services will conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management. Service delivery is managed and delivered within the demands of the Divisional Action Plan and the requirements of the Division’s state-wide fire and emergency role and in partnership with community and government agencies.

The Grampians Peak Trail is currently under construction with stage one completed, stage two due for completion September 2019 and the entire trail due for completion Dec 2020. The Grampians Peak Trail will be a world class long distance walking experience, showcasing the beauty and majesty of the natural and cultural landscape.

About the role and your responsibilities:  

Are you a highly motivated individual looking for a new opportunity? As the Project Coordinator you will be responsible for developing a concept brief for the Grampians Peak Trail including future resourcing requirements for the transition of the whole Grampians Peak Trail to Regional Operations.

Your main responsibilities include planning and working with the major project construction team, seek technical advice regarding the best way to manage the infrastructure into the future, and develop a work force strategy for the future. You will also require a high level of judgement and technical expertise to ensure that this part of the project is delivered by June 2019.

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in development of business case development or similar plan development
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical and conflict problem solving
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Science and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is preferable
