A new year and a new chapter – A message from Chief Executive, Brad Ostermeyer

30 /01/ 2017 Comments are Closed

January is a wonderful time to start my journey of leading Victoria’s peak industry body for Victorian tourism and events. The Australian Open was a great success with memorable finals and placed the international spotlight on Melbourne, as was the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race which took place over the weekend. It’s been great to see that Victoria’s holiday destinations are enjoying a fabulous summer, with visitors flocking from intrastate, interstate and overseas.

As the holidays draw to a close, the momentum for the industry will continue to be maintained by a host of world-class events, products and attractions.

VTIC is ready to continue to be the voice of the industry and provide a range of services that deliver true benefits to the businesses and organisations that form this dynamic sector.

The first significant VTIC event for 2017 will be the Visitor Economy Forum and Tourism Australia Industry Briefing, to be held on Monday 6 March at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It is a privilege to be given the opportunity to lead VTIC and I look forward to meeting with you all in the coming weeks.

I wish you all well and trust that 2017 will prove to be a prosperous and rewarding year for the entire industry.

Kind Regards

Brad
