VTIC will present our new three-year strategic direction, and key partners will be providing updates and insights into their activities for the coming year.

Our event this year will be the first official address to the industry by the Hon. Martin Pakula MP, Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events.

This forum is an important start to each new year and is a not-to-be-missed event for industry to gather early insights and learnings to support your efforts.

Getting there
MCEC is easily accessible by tram (96, 109 and 12) and train (Southern Cross Station), and discounted parking ($18.50) is available on the day at the Wilson Car Park underneath the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The Clarendon Auditorium is best accessed via MCEC’s Clarendon Street entrance.

The positioning of Aboriginal tourism as an urban and accessible experience, both as a stand-alone experience and as an integral component within the broader tourism industry, may not always be straightforward. Tourism businesses face a unique set of cultural considerations in finding connection between tourism and the Aboriginal culture and community.

This workshop will provide you with some knowledge around Aboriginal culture in Victoria from a business perspective, enabling you to respectfully approach Aboriginal communities and organisations and craft an authentic Indigenous component to your event or experience.
