Event Details

Almost more than any other sector, COVID-19 has brought the tourism and hospitality sector to a standstill.

As travel and gathering restrictions start to lift, what do we know about the outlook and the path ahead? What do we expect to be the impact on travel budgets and travel preferences? As Australians start to act on the travel ambitions they’ve been dreaming about while in isolation, what is the expectation for cities and regional destinations?

Adele Labine-Romain, Deloitte Tourism Sector Lead and Partner with Deloitte Access Economics, will join us to explore these questions and consider the outlook for the tourism sector and the potential path ahead for Melbourne and Victoria’s regions. Can Victorians or domestic visitors offset the impact of remaining domestic and international travel restrictions?

Businesses across the sector are charting new paths as they reopen, and Adele will introduce a roadmap for small business to consider to ensure their businesses are in the best shape for the recovery and beyond to the evolving new normal for the tourism sector.

There will be an open Q&A throughout the session for you to ask questions and to delve deeply into the invaluable insights that Adele will share with us. This will be an incredible hour with one of Australia’s most prominent tourism experts and definitely a not to be missed session.
