VTIC member benefits update

12 /06/ 2018 Comments are Closed

We sincerely thank you for your ongoing support of the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC), the peak policy and advocacy body for Victoria’s tourism and events industry.

VTIC works tirelessly as a respected advocate, supporter of industry, powerful ally, and partner to your business. The recent launch of our advocacy campaign Tourism is Victoria’s Business highlights the industry’s funding and policy priorities ahead of the State Election in November.

VTIC is a membership based organisation that offers you many benefits, and our partnership with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) affords all members access to a range of further benefits that enable solutions to your everyday business challenges.

We wish to advise that, effective 1 July 2018, we will be increasing member benefits, resulting in a small increase in our membership fees; our first increase for some two years. Changes to the memberships are outlined below and will be reflected in all membership renewal invoices due from 1 July 2018. (Note, the In the Loop membership category remains as is).

Category New Price (ex. GST) (new) Additional benefits
Essentials 700 Events – $200 credit towards VTIC events OR 4 tickets to VCCI FF/BAD*; AND $200 VCCI training/consulting credit

* VCCI FF/BAD = VCCI fast Forward/Business After Dark events

We are excited to deliver additional benefit to your business and trust that you will see value in taking advantage of them. All VTIC members, regardless of their membership renewal date, will have access to the listed benefits during their current membership year (i.e. if your renewal date was 1 March 2018, you have access to the full additional benefits for the year to 28 February 2019).

Further details on the additional benefits are as follows:

  • VTIC events – Please refer to VTIC’s events calendar (vtic.com.au/upcoming-events) to view the latest VTIC events listing. Eligible events include the annual Victorian Tourism Conference, the RACV Victorian Tourism Awards and other VTIC ticketed events.
  • VCCI FF/BAD – Run 10 times per annum, the VCCI’s Fast Forward (FF) and Business After Dark (BAD) networking events offer unparalleled access to a range of new businesses and contacts for networking purposes. Once you utilise one FF or BAD ticket, the VTIC Events credit is negated for the remainder of your membership year.

Please note: The allocation of your Event/Ticket credits can only be applied to one or the other of VTIC or VCCI events. The credit cannot be split across the two segments.

  • Training/Consulting credit – The VCCI is a registered training organisation (TOID 4166) and offers a range of certificate and diploma level training qualifications, together with short courses aimed at improving staff competencies. The credit can only be used for courses run by VCCI staff – visit the VCCI website (victorianchamber.com.au) for these courses. The VCCI’s workplace relations consulting team offers professional, detailed advice and assistance on a range of matters including Fair Work Commission representation, union related matters, dispute resolution and more.

If you have any questions regarding your VTIC membership, including how you can upgrade your membership level, please don’t hesitate to contact VTIC’s Business Development Manager Ian McDougal imcdougal@vtic.com.au or 8662 5431 or Business Development Officer Robert Ratcliffe rratcliffe@vtic.com.au  or 8662 5110.
