VTIC STAFF PROFILE: MELINDA ANDERSON

After two years working in Tasmania, Melinda Anderson is excited to return to the Victorian tourism industry as VTIC’s Business Development and Operations Manager. Melinda brings more than 16 years of tourism experience to the VTIC team, having previously worked in the private, tertiary and government sectors.

Melinda says she has always admired the Victorian industry for its maturity, innovation and continuous improvement.

“I am really looking forward to working with the talented team at VTIC to ensure we deliver on the needs of the Victorian tourism and events industry,” she says.

“My role involves managing the operational activities of VTIC including stakeholder relations, our industry development, excellence and networking programs and exploring new membership and growth opportunities so we can continue to speak with one voice on behalf of Victorian tourism and events.”

Melinda worked previously in the Research Department at Tourism Victoria before heading to Sovereign Hill as Marketing Director, then on to the Barossa Valley for five years working in food and wine marketing and management. For the past two years, she was Tourism Manager at Launceston City Council.
